I have a question that I think you can answer: Why did Louisa M. Alcott marry Jo to Professor Bhaer for money if the first part of Little Women had already been successful?
Her publisher insisted upon it. They wanted the money to keep rolling in and he felt the book would not sell if Jo didn’t marry.
