I loved Little Women and all the sequels as a youth. Rereading as adult, I had more understanding and connection all the characters. This book validated those feelings.

I love this book. Any fan of Louisa May Alcott will want it and cherish it. Even those who know little about Alcott will find essays to enjoy from it. I was particularly impressed that the essays collectively cover so many aspects of Little Women and of its author’s life.

I couldn’t put this down. It’s still next to my bed, and when I’m tired I pick it up to read … and keep on reading. It’s deceptively deep in short paragraphs, and makes me think. And smile all the way to sleep. Now I want to reread all the books she refers to.
