In the interests of simplifying the experience for you, “Louisa May Alcott is My Passion: The Podcast!” will be featured strictly on this blog.
It will no longer be available through iTunes or any other source but right here.
This way, you can have the blog post and podcast together so you can see the notes. You should be able to listen from any device: computer, tablet or phone.
If you want to subscribe to the podcast and did so through iTunes, you can switch by joining the email list (if you haven’t already) where you will always be notified of new episodes.
Originally the podcast was to be produced monthly but episodes will now come on an intermittent basis.
I would love suggestions on how to improve it: what would you like featured on the podcast? Leave your comments. This podcast is for you.
Reason for the change
Why the change? I have finally begun writing my book on Lizzie, beginning with a presentation that I will be making in the upcoming months which will reveal the essence of the book. Anyone who has written a book knows how it consumes you, leaving precious little left over for anything else!
I cannot take a sabbatical from my job so I must fit writing around my commitments (including this blog). As I anticipate it will be 3-5 years before the book is out, I intend on “staking my claim” to my theories through local presentations and this blog; the book will flesh out all the details.
So stay tuned, the “big reveal” coming … many exciting things are afoot!

Remember please to let us know what’s up with the “Beth was too bashful to go to school…” when Abba was sending her and May to school together at middle- and high-school age. Going to school at that age is not for the faint of heart…Also Abba wanted to send her for drawing lessons: how could she consider that when Beth was so retiring—she might not be able to take anyone criticizing her work. Also Lizzie’s “love affair” was probably a high school crush…how could such a thing happen to a girl who was too bashful to go to school, and too shy to do more than “peep at” lords of creation. And her piano in Walpole: that looked like a Melodeon too. Or a Seraphine. The other day I was at an antique shop and actually saw a Melodeon…I was shocked; didn’t think there were any around that I would ever see one up close. No doubt everyone is sorry you can’t take time off from your job to write about Lizzie. People can hardly wait for this book, but I’m sure it is tons of painstaking work.
