I need your help! Here is one area of Louisa’s writing that I am not familiar with. Can you recommend to me Christmas stories that Louisa has written? Seems like a nice way to prepare for the Christmas season. š
Hi, I’m an Alcott fan who came over from Sheila O’Malley’s. . . a couple of years ago, my mom found “The Quiet Little Woman: A Christmas Story.” It’s a collection of three stories (the title one, “Tilly’s Christmas,” and “Rosa’s Tale”) that appeared in magazines and were republished.
I’m getting ready to order Louisa May Alcott’s Christmas Treasury from Amazon. It is comprised of a total of 18 stories including A Quiet Little Woman, Kate’s Choice, and What Love Can Do. I’ve never read any of them (that I know of) so this will be a holiday first for me.
I wish I had found your blog earlier! It’s a little late now, but here are a few LMA-related Christmas stories. I haven’t had a chance to read all of them yet.
Welcome! I’m sorry to have been slow in replying – I’ve been taking a break from the internet over Christmas. Awesome suggestions, thank you, and great tip regarding that last website.
The opening chapter of Little Women comes immediately to mind, of course: I don’t know of any stories that refer to Xmas (though now curious, too).

I hope that’s helpful. š
Yes, that is. Thanks!

Wow, that list ended up much longer than I expected, and I still feel like I’ve forgotten a couple. Enjoy!

There are some anthologies available at Orchard House. I haven’t been there Christmas shopping in two years but I’m sure they’re still available.
